We pride ourselves on being classed as a "Premier" ground by the CPSA, the official Clay Pigeon Shooting Association. We cater for all shooters from complete beginners to experienced shots as well as Game Shooters.
Facilities
Our facilities include four Skeet ranges, a Down The Line range, a Compact Sporting range and a FITASC layout. Alongside is our very popular sporting layout, set out in our woodland area, which provide a minimum of 15 different stands with over 100 automatic trap machines to give customers a varying range of targets. All areas are accessible by adequate paths and signage to ensure that your visit to High Lodge is both comfortable, safe and enjoyable.
There is nothing like a day in the fresh air to stimulate the appetite and at High Lodge, we have everything you need to satisfy it! Our Clubhouse offers both restaurant and bar facilities with the restaurant open for Breakfast, Lunches, Snacks and refreshments 7 days a week.
Opening Hours
Opening times all year round: -
Monday - Saturday 10am till 5pm
Wednesday Evening - These run from 1st Wednesday in April until the end of August, entries from 5pm until 7.30pm.
Sunday Mornings - These run from September until the end of March, entries from 9.30am to 11.30am.
Membership
If you would like to become a member of our Gun Club you will receive discounts on the price of sporting clays from Monday to Fridays - these work out at £3.00 per 100 birds. In additions if you come along to our club - Wednesday evenings in summer and Sunday mornings in the winter (see above for details) you will receive a discount of £6.00 per 100 birds. In addition you will also receive regular updates and information sent to you via post or email. Membership run from 1st April each year and costs £30 per adult, £20 per junior. Instruction
Whether you are a beginner, advanced shooter or a group of people looking for something different High Lodge can offer a whole range of instruction to suit you. Our professional instructors include John Bidwell himself who has been heavily involved in the sport for over 25 years - and for the past 20 years has been a member of the Great British Shooting Team representing his country at various top events around the world which includes being World Champion 3 times and current FITASC Veteran Champion.
Our instructors are trained to teach the Move Mount Shoot technique made famous by John Bidwell.

Want to take up clay shooting but not sure where to start?
Our Have-a-go days offer a chance to try the sport, organised on the first Saturday of every month they are just that, a chance to have-a-go, early booking advised to avoid disappointment.

Instruction with John Bidwell
John has perfected a shooting technique which has made him very well known in the shooting scene world wide and has helped him win major titles including current World Veteran Champion. His book and video provide details of the technique and the new recently launched interactive DVD covers everything from technique to shot string and information on guns.
If you would like to take the opportunity of being taught by John he holds one day instructional courses for just that reason, two different days are available the first is aimed at any shooter who has either not attended one of these days before or who has never had individual instruction with him. The other is an advanced day which is aimed at people who would have previously attended the first one day clinic.
Price includes 1 Day Instruction with John Bidwell, all clays and a lunch @ £200.00 per gun (Limited numbers in each day to 5 guns). Please select a suitable date from the list below and contact the office to book, a 50% deposit is required to book a place on one of these days.
