High Lodge was first established over 25 years ago the shooting ground has been voted a top UK facility by visiting shooters in a national poll. It is also classed as a Premier Plus ground by the CPSA, the official Clay Pigeon Shooting Association ( www.cpsa.co.uk ) making it one of the top UK shooting venues.
Host to major National & International championships High Lodge caters for all shooters, from complete beginners to experienced shots. A team of professional experienced instructors deliver John's world beating innovative MOVE-MOUNT-SHOOT technique which is taught at High Lodge.
John has been involved with the sport for over 40 years and for the last 30 years has been a member of successful Great Britain Shooting teams, representing his country at top international events.
Facilities at High Lodge include four Skeet ranges, Down The Line, Compact Sporting, FITASC and numerous sporting woodland stands. A 60-foot and a 120-foot tower both add to the variety of targets and disciplines available.

Have a go sessions are available for those wishing to try the sport as well as tuition for individuals or small groups. John also runs exclusive clinics for small groups of experienced shooters.
Shooting equipment and consumable are available on site and provision has been made to accommodate wheelchairs in the grounds and within the clubhouse.
The site operates over 100 fully automatic Autosporter traps, which are designed by John Bidwell and manufactured on site at High Lodge.

A modern clubhouse, restaurant & bar is available for visitors as well as a gun shop which also sells cartridges, clothing and other shooting accessories
